Slackware, world’s oldest surviving Linux distribution, is here with major enhancements and updates. The latest stable release, Slackware 14.1, was released about two and a half years ago. The latest Slackware version 14.2 comes about two months after the last Release Candidate of the 14.2 version. This new release is based on the Linux 4.4.14 LTS Kernel and offers up-to-date components with cutting edge Linux technologies. The OS also comes with the support for Linux kernel 4.6 testing.
