Introduction

myPHPNuke is equipped with a extensive translation engine. Almost every string that is used in the software is subject to translation, however nothing is ever 100% perfect. In order to translate MPN into your language, you will need to find every displayed text string and translate it. These translated strings and phrases are placed into a language file that the software references in order to display the correct language. Beyond the basic need for translation, very often there is a need for localization. Localization adapts the way localized information is output. Date, time and weekdays are all examples of localization.
